   Cấu trúc take up a hobby nghĩa là bắt đầu một sở thích mới.
2. interested in
   Cấu trúc đúng là be interested in + noun/V-ing.
3. collection
   Sau tính từ large cần một danh từ. Collection nghĩa là bộ sưu tập.
4. go hiking
   Cấu trúc hoạt động ngoài trời là go + V-ing.
5. rewarding
   Rewarding experience là một trải nghiệm bổ ích hoặc đáng công sức.
6. spend
   Cấu trúc spend free time doing something.
7. joined
   Join a club nghĩa là trở thành thành viên của một câu lạc bộ.
8. keen on
   Cấu trúc be keen on + noun/V-ing nghĩa là rất thích.
9. recipe
   Follow a recipe nghĩa là làm theo công thức nấu ăn.

    Sau help you có thể dùng động từ nguyên mẫu không “to”: help you improve.

   Từ challenging ở đây mang nghĩa khó nhưng đòi hỏi người thực hiện phải cố gắng.
5. She finds the hobby relaxing and rewarding.
   Relaxing cho thấy hoạt động giúp cô ấy thư giãn; rewarding cho thấy hoạt động mang lại cảm giác xứng đáng.

Bài mẫu Task 5:

1. I usually spend my free time reading novels and listening to podcasts. Reading is a relaxing hobby because it helps me forget about work. I am particularly interested in mystery stories.
2. I recently took up cooking. At first, following recipes was challenging, but I now find it enjoyable. I practise regularly by cooking dinner for my family.
3. I find gardening relaxing because I can spend time outdoors. It also gives me a break from screens. Although it can be time-consuming, the results are rewarding.
4. I would like to take up photography in the future. I am interested in taking pictures of streets and traditional buildings. Joining a photography club may help me improve my skills.
5. I prefer outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. They help me stay active and explore new places. I often go cycling with my friends at weekends.

FAQ về từ vựng Hobbies and Interests level B1

1. Chủ đề Hobbies and Interests B1 cần học bao nhiêu từ?

Người học nên nắm khoảng 40–55 từ và cụm từ trọng tâm. Số lượng này cần bao gồm tên hoạt động, tính từ mô tả, động từ chỉ sở thích và collocations tự nhiên.

2. Có cần học collocations khi học chủ đề sở thích không?

Có. Collocations giúp người học tránh dịch từng từ và diễn đạt tự nhiên hơn. Những cụm quan trọng gồm take up a hobby, be keen on, spend free time doing và develop an interest in.

3. Học chủ đề này có dùng được cho IELTS, TOEIC và VSTEP không?

Không. Sau My hobby is, hoạt động thường được viết ở dạng V-ing:

• My hobby is reading books.

Cũng có thể nói:

• I enjoy reading books.
• I am interested in reading.
